Steps for Installing Artificial Grass

Preparing the base floor

Before starting any installation process, as usual, you must prepare the base. Installing artificial grass will be mostly above natural grass or an outdoor area that needs to be levelled so you can install the artificial grass easily. You can clear the space where you want to install the artificial grass by using a spade. Dig using a spade for around 1.5 – 2.5 inches and make sure the base is all at the same level.

Preventing Weed from invading the artificial grass

You can prevent the natural weeds from invading the artificial grass that might cause it to change its shape by using a weed suppressing material over the base floor. For any weed coming out you can cut it simply using the utility knife.

Applying Sand

After making sure that the base floor is clear of any natural grass or weed you can now apply a thin layer of sand on the surface. You can also apply crushed stones on top to create a solid, firm and smooth surface that will help in holding the base together to start placing the artificial grass on.

Even Surface

After applying the layer of sand you now have an even surface created and it needs to be layered using a piece of wood or flat board

Staple the grass

You can now staple the grass and glue it together into place by gluing the seams.
